The Shippensburg University men’s basketball team ranked No. 24 in the latest edition of the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division II Coaches’ Poll released Tuesday afternoon.

It is the first national ranking of the season for the SU men’s basketball team, and its first time in the national coaches’ poll since a No. 25 ranking last season on Dec. 21, 2018. The Raiders were ranked for four weeks last season, reaching as high as No. 11 on Dec. 4, 2018.

Shippensburg is 16-3 overall and 12-1 against Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) opponents. The Raiders, currently on a nine-game winning streak, hold a four-game divisional lead over West Chester with nine games remaining in the regular season.

Shippensburg travels to Shepherd tomorrow for a 7:30 p.m. matchup with the Rams from the Butcher Athletic Center.

Bill Morgal is sports information director at Shippensburg University.
