A special treat is in store for students at Stevens Elementary School Friday, just in time for the Christmas holiday.

Santa will be at the school that morning, delivering gifts, thanks to Wood-to-Wonderful, a Pennsylvania-based non-profit organization.

All students at the Chambersburg Third-Ward school will get a gift, free and no-strings-attached.

Wood-to-Wonderful staff plan to help Santa distribute the gifts and talk about how the organization helps community members.

Volunteers of all ages, walks of life, and economic levels create wooden toys by hand.

Founded by Louise and Doug Brown in 1987, Wood-to-Wonderful is today based in Reading. Its grassroots mission is to make wooden toys for children with the help of volunteers.

The organization today makes between 7,000 and 10,000 wooden toys annually to give away to deserving children.
