Area police have investigated a number of assaults, burglary, theft and a vehicle crash in recent days.
Chambersburg Police Log
Chambersburg police arrested Elizabet Estrada, 41, on January 17th on charges of aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child following an investigation regarding neglect of a juvenile child.
Chambersburg police did not provide details about their investigation.
Pennsylvania State Police log
A Wyoming woman escaped injury Saturday afternoon when she lost control of her car on Interstate 81 Between Chambersburg and Scotland and hit a guard rail.
Pennsylvania State Police, Chambersburg, said Elizabeth M. Johnson, 20, of Cheyenne, Wyo., was northbound in the left lane on I81 at 1:46 p.m. when she failed to negotiate a curve and the front drivers’ side of her 2017 Ford Focus hit the guard rail on the western side of the highway.
She was uninjured. he received a traffic citation for not keeping her car in the traffic lane.
Pennsylvania State Police investigated the theft of two catalytic converters from a 2004 GMC belonging to a church at 8244 Five Forks Road in Quincy Township this month. Police said the theft happened sometime between 3 p.m. Jan. 8 and 5:45 a.m. Friday. The vehicle was parked at the church at the time of the theft.
Pennsylvania State Police in McConnellsburg investigated an assault Saturday in the area of Buchanan Trail and Gerald Circle in Ayr Township.
Police said Ronald Little, 52, of Greencastle, Matthew Little of McConnellsburg and Corby Carmack, 24, of Greencastle, had a physical confrontation with another person over a prior incident. The fourth person, identified only as a “suspect” by police, punched Ronald Little several times in the face, causing cuts and abrasions on his face and damaging his orthodontic plate. The suspect then threatened all three men with a pocket knife before slashing a tire on Ronald Little’s vehicle then left the scene.
Police said. The victims did not want to press charges against the suspect.
Pennsylvania State Police in McConnellsburg are investigating a burglary at an unoccupied house at 8992 Thompson Road, Belfast Township.
The burglar stole several $100 bills, police said. Police list the victims as Corina Barnhart, 47, of Needmore, and Sheldon Myeras, 50, of Dallastown.
Police are looking for a blue sedan suspected to be used by the burglary, which was reported last Wednesday.
