Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter has lots of adorable pets who are looking for forever homes.

CVAS encourages anyone interested in bringing a four-legged friend into their home to check out the wonderful animals available for adoptions at the shelter.

Pets find themselves homeless for a wide variety of reasons and in need of a new home and a second chance. So if you are looking for a new furry best friend, check out the shelter’s many residents. Any of them would make a great pet and wonderful companion.

The Chamber Staff is always available to talk with you about how your business could greatly benefit from membership.

Dakota is a 2-year-old German Shepherd/Great Dane mix who was surrendered to the shelter because his owners were moving and could not take him along.

As you can imagine this guy is BIG! He currently weighs in at 69lbs and could stand to gain a few more pounds (although not too much).

Dakota is a sweet, gentle soul that loves to be with his people. He loves time outside and runs like a thoroughbred! Dakota does jump up occasionally so he may be too much for small children unless they are used to being around large dogs.

Do you have the right spot for Dakota?

Aaron is Looking for a Forever Home

Breed: Guinea Pig
Coat Length: Short

Aaron was surrendered because he was part of an unwanted litter. He is around 1-2 months old and is ready to find his forever home. He is currently being housed with his dad, but they do not have to be adopted together.

Aaron is a sweet boy that would love to find his forever home soon! Potential adopters are encouraged to do their research on guinea pig behavior and care.

Meet Uno

Uno

Breed: Domestic Short Hair Mix
Coat Length: Short
House-Trained: Yes
Health: Vaccinations up to date, spayed/neutered

Uno was brought into the shelter as a stray, so we know very little about his past. Uno is a sweet guy that loves attention and has a lot of love to bring into a home. He is around a year old and still has spurts of the kitten energy in him! He loves to run and play in the bonding rooms here at the shelter and enjoys playing on the cat trees.

Uno would love to meet you and introduce himself!
