CHAMBERSBURG (Oct. 5, 2019) — Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter has lots of adorable pets who are looking for forever homes.

CVAS encourages anyone interested in bringing a four-legged friend into their home to check out the wonderful animals available for adoptions at the shelter.

Pets find themselves homeless for a wide variety of reasons and in need of a new home and a second chance. So if you are looking for a new furry best friend, check out our many residents. Any of them would make a great pet and wonderful companion.

Little Pig Pen Has Cleaned up Well

Little Pig Pen has cleaned up nicely since his arrival a the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter and is ready to go home with that special family, or individual. He’s a little shy at times but will become a love bug once he finds his forever home.

He came into the shelter covered in dirt and grease – hence the name.

The Chamber Staff is always available to talk with you about how your business could greatly benefit from membership.

He’s a good boy, but can be a little shy at first, but if you give him time, he turns into a love bug.

Little Pig Pen is about four months old and came into the shelter as a stray, so we don’t know much of anything about his past.

Come meet him and see if he could be the one for you!

Meet Darla

Darla was brought into the shelter as a stray, so we know very little about her past.

Darla is an energetic girl that loves to play! She is around 6 months old and still has a lot of puppy behavior, so she will need someone that understands the time and the patience that goes into raising and training a puppy.

Darla loves attention and loves to be right with you! Darla is treat motivated so potential adopters should keep this in mind with training.

Darla may be too much for small children so an age restriction for children in the home may apply, please discuss this with shelter staff.

Kringle: The Perfect Companion

Kringle is looking for a forever home. She will make someone a perfect companion.

Krinkle is a 3-year-old tabby-and-white girl who came into the shelter because her owners could no longer care for her.

She’s had some ear infections and will need to be monitored to make sure they don’t come back.

She’s in our back offices and is the sweetest cat ever! If you’re looking for the perfect companion, ask to meet Krinkle!
