CHAMBERSBURG (Jan 1, 2020) — Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter has lots of adorable pets who are looking for forever homes.

CVAS encourages anyone interested in bringing a four-legged friend into their home to check out the wonderful animals available for adoptions at the shelter.

Pets find themselves homeless for a wide variety of reasons and in need of a new home and a second chance. So if you are looking for a new furry best friend, check out the shelter’s many residents. Any of them would make a great pet and wonderful companion.

Meet Wolfie

Breed: Husky & Alaskan Malamute Mix
Coat Length: Long
Health: Vaccinations up to date, spayed/neutered

Wolfie was surrendered to the shelter because his owner could no longer care for him. He is an 8-year-old husky/malamute mix, but don’t let the age fool you. Wolfie still has a lot of vim and vigor. He’s definitely a free spirit and can be stubborn, so we’re looking for someone with husky/malamute experience for him. Because of his age and not having a history with children, an age restriction might apply, so please discuss this with shelter staff. Could you have the right spot for Wolfie?

Meet Klaus

Breed: American Mix
Coat Length: Short

The Chamber Staff is always available to talk with you about how your business could greatly benefit from membership.

Klaus is a 1-year-old American rabbit with blue eyes and gorgeous fur. He’s a sweet fellow looking for someone with bunny experience to bring him home and love him forever. Is that someone you?

Meet Cranberry

Breed: Domestic Short Hair Mix
Coat Length: Short
House Trained: Yes
Health: Vaccinations up to date, spayed/neutered

Cranberry arrived at the shelter as a stray, so we know very little about her past. What we do know is that Cranberry loves attention, but prefers it to be on her terms. She loves playing with the teaser toys here at the shelter and loves to sleep in a nice fluffy blanket! Cranberry would love to meet you and introduce herself!
