Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter has lots of adorable pets who are looking for forever homes.

CVAS encourages anyone interested in bringing a four-legged friend into their home to check out the wonderful animals available for adoptions at the shelter.

Pets find themselves homeless for a wide variety of reasons and in need of a new home and a second chance. So if you are looking for a new furry best friend, check out the shelter’s many residents. Any of them would make a great pet and wonderful companion.

Let’s talk about Bonnie

Bonnie
Bonnie

Breed: Domestic Short Hair Mix
Coat Length: Short
House Trained: Yes
Health: Vaccinations up to date, spayed/neutered

She came into the shelter in June 2018. That’s not a typo. She’s been with us for almost two years! She’s a 5-year-old tabby girl who was surrendered to the shelter because she wasn’t getting along with the other cats in the house. We’re thinking a home without felines might be best for her. She’s currently at Petco looking for a home and the folks there absolutely love her. Bonnie loves attention and would like to find out if you could be the one for her.

Oh, Conan

Conan

This 8-year-old orange boy came into the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have a lot of information about him, but oh my word, what a loving cat! We’re not sure what happened to his ear – he may have had an untreated ear infection at some point. Conan wants nothing more than to be in your arms. Whoever gets this guy will be one lucky human!

Meet Petri

Petri
Petri

Breed: Labrador Retriever & Terrier Mix
Coat Length: Short
Health: Vaccinations up to date, spayed/neutered

Petri was brought into the shelter as a stray, so we know very little about his past. Petri is a sweet boy that is probably going to be a big dog when he is fully grown. He can be on the shy side at first but he really wants to please. He loves attention! Petri will need someone that understands the time and the patience that goes into training a puppy. Petri would make someone a wonderful companion!

*Petri is not neutered yet, but will be before he goes into his forever home.*
