To the Editor:
There is a joke floating around these days: How can you tell when politicians are lying? Answer: When their mouth is moving!
We laugh, but it is too true, for many to whom we have given our trust. The incredible need for integrity in our society is why we are supporting Mary Beth Shank for judge. We know her to have made integrity her priority.
Integrity is defined as the quality of state of being of sound moral principle; uprightness, honesty and sincerity. So great is her internal fiber that even if those who have personally violated her in this campaign, should they come before her, she would judge them with wisdom, her excellent knowledge of the law, but with integrity.
Vitally significant as a Judge for Court of Common Pleas, is that everyone, those of us who have watched her live her life uprightly, or the vilest offender would be “judged justly” by the law with unwavering integrity. Mary Beth Shank gets our vote; we believe integrity is the high calling of a judge.
