Krichten, WellSpan’s emergency management director, said the system sends a text, email and voicemail alerts with the push of a button.
WellSpan received the award for its work in improving emergency communications across the health system spanning five South-Central Pennsylvania counties.
The Everbridge system can also send weather alerts to specific employees in the path of a storm. It also notifies them of safety events for situational awareness and information sharing.
“This notification process adds a layer of preparedness to the emergency operation plans of the health system,” added Krichten.
An independent panel of industry experts selected the world-wide recipients after closely reviewing all submissions.
