Grieving children and their families are invited to join the Drew Michael Taylor Foundation for A Frozen Grief Journey. The free grief workshop takes place Jan. 26 from 2-4 p.m. at the Drew Michael Taylor Foundation Center for Grieving Families in Shippensburg.
Activities related to the “Frozen” and “Frozen II” movies help children process their grief related to a loved one’s death. The workshop is designed for children in the 5-12 age range. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
The event venue is the Drew Michael Taylor Foundation Center for Grieving Families, 7 S. Earl St., Shippensburg. Contact the DMTF by Jan. 24, at 717-532-8922 to reserve space in the workshop. Please leave a detailed message.
Randy and Marcie Taylor created DMTF as a local charitable organization created to honor the memory of their 3-year-old son Drew. Drew died in a tragic auto accident while the family was vacationing at the Outer Banks in 2006.
The foundation provides grief education and support programs to children, teens, and adults grieving the death of a loved one.
The DMTF offers multiple grief support groups for bereaved adults in Shippensburg, the Drew’s Hope grief support program for grieving children and families, as well as various grief-related workshops and a grief and loss lending library for community use.
