New rules and regulations for tattoo parlors and body piercing businesses are coming to Chambersburg.

The borough staff and attorneys, under orders to develop an ordinance regulating both types of businesses, will present its proposals to the Board of Health at 6 p.m. Nov. 14.

Public comments from those that attend the meeting will be considered by the Board before making a final recommendation to Town Council. However, it is up to Council to make any final decisions about the proposed regulations for tattoo and body piercing establishments, according to Borough Manager Jeffrey Stonehill.

The Board of Health is expected to review and discuss the draft Ordinance Nov. 14. The Board meets in Council Chambers on the first floor of the Utility Department addition to Borough Hall, 100 South Second Street.
