In today’s police log, Area police investigated an assault in Shippensburg over the weekend and took several lost and found reports.


Shippensburg Reports

Assault: On Saturday, July 13, at 11 p.m. Shippensburg Police were called to the parking lot of Sheetz, 359 East King St, where John Engle punched another person causing injury.  As a result, a citation was filed before MDJ Adams charging Engle with Harassment.


Found key: On Sunday, June 14, a black Hyundai key found laying on a sidewalk in Shippensburg was turned into Shippensburg Police Department. Anyone with information about the ownership of the key should contact Shippensburg Police.


Lost and found: On Sunday, June 14, a black leather-like tri-fold wallet was found in the 100 block of North Queen Street on the sidewalk. The wallet contained the belongings of Luis Miguel Perez. Anyone with information on how to contact Perez can contact the Shippensburg Police Department.

Bike found: On Sunday, July 14, 2019, a white Mongoose mountain bike was found on the Rail Trail near the Southgate Shopping Center.

Abandoned bike: A teal in color Roadmaster mountain bike was abandoned at the Coyle Free library located at 102 N Main Street about one month ago according to an employee at the library. 

This bicycle was abandoned at Coyle Library. It is being held at Chambersburg Police Department for the owner.
