CHAMBERSBURG (Sept. 7, 2019) — Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter has lots of adorable pets who are looking for forever homes.

CVAS encourages anyone interested in bringing a four-legged friend into their home to check out the wonderful animals available for adoptions at the shelter.

Meet Coqueta

Coqueta
Coqueta

Coqueta is a 2-year-old Alaskan Malamute who was surrendered to the shelter because she kept getting away from her previous owner. This escape artist will need supervision in a fenced-in yard or near doors. She’s a super sweet girl who loves belly rubs and will actually “flop” over to ask for them. Coqueta knows commands in Spanish rather than English and can be shy around new people. An age restriction may apply for her because of the shyness, she be sure to check with shelter staff. Can you give this sweet girl a second chance?

Meet Lena

Lena
Lena

Lena came into the shelter as a stray and we think she’s about 4 months old. She loves attention so much she will jump out of her cat cubby on onto a shoulder. Lena is such a purrbox and will make someone a really wonderful companion.

Meet Mary

Mary was brought into the shelter as a stray so we know very little about her short past. She can be shy at first and may need some time to adjust to a new home. She loves to play in the water bowl here at the shelter and loves to play with the catnip mice here at the shelter. Mary would love to find her forever soon!
