CHAMBERSBURG (Sept. 12, 2019) — The deadline for area artists to enter the “Miniature Art 2019” exhibition is just two weeks away.

The juried exhibition sponsored by the Council for the Arts runs Nov. 1 – Dec. 20 at the Council’s downtown gallery in Chambersburg. A First Friday opening reception will be from 5-8 p.m. Nov. 1.

Artists may submit up to 4 works in Miniature Art 2019, each with an image size no greater than 4″ by 6″, not to exceed 24 square inches. Framed pieces should not exceed 48 square inches.

Only original work will be accepted. Awards will be offered as follows: Best of Show ($300) and 3 Merit Awards ($100 each). Miniature Art 2019 will be juried and judged by Lisa Sheirer, who earned her MFA from the University of Notre Dame and currently serves as a professor of art at Frederick Community College, Frederick, MD.

The Council, in operation since 1987, presents art classes and exhibitions at its location at 81 North Main Street in Chambersburg.
