Wednesday – July 16, 1969

“Conversancy Sets Meeting”

Cumberland Conservancy, watershed association for areas drained by the Yellow Breeches and Conodoguinet Creeks, will hold a meeting Sept. 15 at 8 p.m. in Carlisle Town Hall, 53 W. South St.

Area of interest to the Conservancy includes all of Cumberland County, St. Thomas, Letterkenny, Lurgan, Southampton, and Orrstown in Franklin County, as well as parts of Perry, York and Adams counties.

Citizens of these areas are invited to attend the meeting when proposed by-laws will be adopted, and directors elected. ! Those attending the September meeting may join the conservancy as charter members.
