Mattis is a Chambersburg Police Department K-9

CHAMBERSBURG — Local police will showcase a K9 demonstration during an open house Saturday at the Franklin County Public Safety Training Center’s Open House May 11.

The demonstration will include various tasks that Chambersburg Police Department’s K9’s, Mattis and Basco, perform on a regular basis to support CPD officers. 

Attendees can expect to see demonstrations including article searches, drug locating and suspect apprehensions. 

The demonstration will be conducted as part of the Training Center’s 2019 Open House which runs from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

The event is open to the public. The training center is located at 3075 Molly Pitcher Highway.  Follow signs for public parking at the Franklin County Career and Technology Center.
