FRANKLIN COUNTY — The National Weather Service in State College PA has issued a Flood Advisory for southwestern Adams County and the southeastern part of Franklin County this evening.
According to the advisory, Doppler radar indicates heavy rain due to a slow moving thunderstorm. This may cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
Some locations that may experience flooding include Waynesboro, Carroll Valley, Wayne Heights, Rouzerville, Fairfield and Liberty Mountain Resort.
This includes the following streams and drainages:
- Biesecker Run,
- West Branch Antietam Creek,
- Middle Creek,
- Rocky Mountain Creek,
- Flat Run, Tumbling Run,
- Red Run,
- East Branch Antietam Creek
- Tributary to West Branch Antietam Creek near Nunnery,
- Miney Branch
- Carbaugh Run Tributary to Little Marsh Creek
- Toms Creek
- Friends Creek
- Muddy Run
- Little Marsh Creek
- Falls Creek
The advisory is in effect until 8 p.m.
