CHAMBERSBURG (Aug. 12, 2019) — A seven-year-old child was airlifted to Hershey Medical Center last night following a pedestrian accident in a Wayne Avenue motel parking lot.

The boy was running from the east side of the motel parking lot toward the motel when it happened. As he ran into the driveway area, he was struck by a passing vehicle, according to police.

The driver stopped and remained on scene, police said. The boy suffered non-life threatening injuries and was flown to Hershey Medical Center for treatment.
