Shippensburg University senior associate director of athletics and senior woman administrator (SWA) Carrie Michaels has been selected to serve on the NCAA Division II Management Council.

Michaels’ term begins after the 2020 NCAA Convention and lasts through Jan. 31, 2024.

She became a candidate for consideration from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) through her role as Shippensburg’s SWA. PSAC chooses one athletic director, one SWA and one faculty athletic representative (FAR) to submit to the NCAA.

The NCAA Management Council votes on the submissions from each Division II conference. It then presents the selections to the NCAA Presidents’ Council for approval.
