Newville — Police are asking for the public’s help in finding two masked men who tried to rob a Sheetz store on Ritter Highway at gunpoint late last night.

Pennsylvania State Police have released surveillance photos of the robbers who entered the Newville Sheetz on 3299 Ritner Highway at 11;39 p.m. Tuesday and tried to rob the store.

One of the robbers pointed a black handgun at employees and demanded cash.

The two robbers fled on foot after an unsuccessful attempt to intimidate the employees to hand over the stores cash.

The suspects are described as being in their late teens or early twenties with a thin build. The masked gunman may be left handed as can be seen in the photos of the suspect holding a black handgun in his left hand.

Franklin County Free Press reached out to Sheets for an official statement:
