ORRTANNA – A late-afternoon car crash on Chambersburg Road (US 30) over the weekend has claimed the life of 62-year-old Connie D. Parr, of Orrtanna.

Pennsylvania State Police in Gettysburg said Parr was eastbound on Chambersburg Road at 5:33 p.m. Saturday when she lost control of her 2002 Chevrolet Trail Blazer and it went off the south side of the road.

Parr, who was not belted in, was ejected when the rear of the vehicle hit a tree.

The Trail Blazer — now without a driver — continued west bound, hitting an embankment and crossing Chambersburg Road before rolling over and coming to rest on the north side of the roadway.
