CHAMBERSBURG — The Franklin County Art Alliance announces its 48th Annual Exhibition, beginning on Sunday, June 2 with a tea and opening reception from 2-5 p.m., and continuing June 3-6, from 2-7 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Artists are encouraged to enter up to four works by becoming members of the Alliance, with a yearly membership of $30 for adults and $15 for high school students.

Entry for members is free.

The postmark deadline for entry forms is April 15, 2019. Membership and entry forms are available at the Alliance website: www.franklincountyartalliance.org.

Newsletters containing both forms are available at Coyle and Grove Libraries in Chambersburg.

The largest art exhibition to be held annually in Franklin County, the Alliance show is held at Calvary United Methodist Church, 150 Norlo Drive in Fayetteville.

It regularly features over 300 watercolors, oils, pastels, prints, drawings, photographs and sculptures, by more than 80 area artists.

Works must be original – no copies! – and completed within the last 2 years. 

Delivery of entries to the exhibit site is noon-6 p.m. Friday May 31. All entries must be picked up between 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday June 6.

The Exhibition’s award ceremony is set for 3 p.m. June 2.

Both the reception tea and awards ceremony, as well as the week-long exhibition, is open to the public.
